Scott brings over twenty-five years of veteran healthcare consulting, staffing, recruiting, and leadership experience. In 1994, he launched the St. Louis, Missouri branch of Maxim Healthcare, which quickly became one of the company’s top producing offices.
In 2000, Scott played a principle role in launching Maxim Healthcare’s Allied Health Staffing division, Maxim Staffing Solutions. The MSS division quickly grew to over $50 million in revenue with Scott as one of its top performers. Scott later served as a member of the senior leadership team for MSS. In 2006, he formed Logix Healthcare Search Partners, LLC, a healthcare executive search firm within Maxim Healthcare. Logix conducted searches for some of the top Health Systems and hospitals in the country, including Johns Hopkins, University of Maryland Medical System, Vanderbilt University, MedStar Health and the FDA, among many others. Scott developed a comprehensive recruitment methodology platform for Logix that is now being deployed throughout Maxim Staffing Solutions and Maxim Healthcare Services; a company that is currently over $1.5 Billion in Sales.
In addition to starting four unique divisions within Maxim Healthcare, Scott also won numerous awards during his tenure at Maxim Healthcare, including Office of the Year, Leader of the Year, and the coveted “Winners Circle” award 15 out of 16 eligible years.
In 2012, Scott founded RoundTable Strategic Solutions. RoundTable is a nationally recognized Healthcare IT Management Consulting, Advisory and Staff Augmentation firm working with some of the top health systems in the country. He resides in Towson, MD with his wife and 3 teenage boys.
Kyle D. Swarts
Kyle is a strategic healthcare business development executive with over 10 years of experience in healthcare IT, management consulting, business intelligence, and analytics. Kyle is passionate about the evolving healthcare landscape and providing strategic insight and value to C-Suite & Senior Leaders at Academic Medical Centers, Integrated Delivery Networks, Physician Groups and Payers across the country.
Kyle’s clients value his thought leadership and extensive knowledge of the Healthcare IT landscape, vendor trends, government regulations (MACRA), payment reform (Value Based Care) and challenges facing healthcare systems that impact patient access, contact centers, revenue cycle and clinical outcomes.
Prior to joining RoundTable, Kyle was responsible for sales, marketing and strategic partnerships with healthcare IT and services organizations including EDIWatch, Origin Healthcare Solutions / Precision.BI, LexisNexis, and Culbert Healthcare Solutions. Since 2011, Kyle has generated upwards of $35M in new client business.
Known for adding value to clients and the healthcare community, Kyle has presented at the Greenway Medical Technologies Annual Sales and User Conference on key trends within physician organizations and healthcare IT and the American Medical Group National Conference (AMGA) on Primary Care Model Re-Design. In 2014, Kyle authored a nationally published article on Business Intelligence titled – “Pathway to a High Performing Healthcare Analytics Department”
At RoundTable, Kyle oversees the sales, marketing, strategic partnerships, recruiting, and account management efforts. Kyle graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. He was a member of the West Virginia University Men’s Soccer Team. He resides in Towson, MD with his wife and 2 young children.
Denise brings more than 28 years of hands-on knowledge to the RoundTable team having previously served in leadership roles within large healthcare and services organizations. In her role, she leads solution and services expansion of the management consulting division, thought leadership, and overall day to day management of the RoundTable Management Consulting practice.
Denise’s extensive knowledge in large healthcare systems, her unique ability to understand and integrate operations across a large enterprise, and ability to provide creative solution development are among her most valuable credentials. She has a keen insight into best practices, understands the challenges facing healthcare systems today, and will utilize those talents in strategizing our company’s growth plans.
Denise serves as a speaker at select industry engagements, including her most recent at the AMGA Annual Conference, Healthcare Marketing and Physician Strategies Summit, and BOMA National Conference. She has held memberships in industry expert workgroups such as GPIN Access & Revenue Cycle Optimization committee, and HIMSS Patient Engagement committee, and has won several awards for her expertise and leadership such as “Innovator of the Year” in Customer Relationship Management, AMGA Acclaim Honoree, and “Innovation in Healthcare” Award.
Prior to joining RoundTable Strategic Solutions, Denise held leadership positions at Envera Health in Richmond, VA as Vice President Engagement Solutions; and Carolinas Healthcare System in Charlotte, NC where her tenure expanded over 21 years. As Vice President of Patient Experience & Operational Efficiency for Carolinas Healthcare System Medical Group, she was responsible for opportunity identification, design, pilot and implementation of operational improvement initiatives, as well as the daily operations of multiple call centers and centralized operations supporting the enterprise integration of the Medical Group comprised of over 2,000 providers and operations at over 350 practice locations.
Denise graduated from Drexel University with a degree in Health Services Administration. She resides in Charlotte, North Carolina with her husband and three daughters.
Art Lopez is a Senior Executive at RoundTable Strategic Solutions and Regional Vice President. He oversees all sales, marketing, account management, business development and client engagements in the Northeast and Mid-West Region.
With over 12 years of experience, Art’s background spans the field of healthcare, working closely with physicians, provider organizations, employers, health plans, channel partners and consultants – providing value through a strong understanding of all key healthcare segments and how they tie together in the rapidly evolving market.
Prior to joining RoundTable, Art spent the last few years in the management and IT consulting space working closely with senior and c-level executives at academic medical centers, large medical groups and hospitals throughout the country. A large portion of Art’s career has been focused on leading the early stages of operational and commercial development, go-to-market strategy and overall growth for young and innovative companies at the forefront of the healthcare industry.
Art is very passionate about the growth and development of consumer centric healthcare and stays very active in the start-up community working with young companies in advisory roles.
He earned his Bachelors of Arts degree in Business Administration with a concentration in General Business and Marketing from Loyola University in Maryland, and was a member and co-captain of the Men’s Division I Soccer Team. Art currently resides in the Boston Metro Area with his wife and two young children.
Lauren Rosenthal is a motivated Recruitment and Leadership professional, having specialized solely in the Healthcare arena for over a last decade. Lauren is driven towards understanding and addressing the multi-faceted and ever-changing challenges facing healthcare delivery systems, with strengths in open and value-driven communication. Leveraging her in-depth knowledge of healthcare clinical, revenue cycle, and support operations and application tools, she identifies consulting and direct hire resources who are prepared to positively impact clients’ operations and clinical outcomes.
Bringing with her the recruitment tools that built her success in healthcare staff augmentation in the Baltimore, MD area, Lauren spent several years transforming the internal recruitment process for a Regional IDN. Her focus in this role was learning firsthand the complex operational workflows which drive a healthcare delivery system and engaging hospital and health system stakeholders in the recruitment process. Lauren had a positive impact on key hiring metrics and supported the health system’s implementation of a new Health Information System across acute and ambulatory settings.
Lauren is in her fourth year with RoundTable Strategic Solutions, continuing to drive the recruitment process for exceptional Healthcare IT talent, managing the RTSS Delivery team, and internal Operations. She resides in Baltimore, MD with her husband and 3 young children.
Jack is a 10-year healthcare recruitment leader that has worked in both direct hire/permanent placement and consultant staffing arenas. He specializes in Information Technology, Executive Leadership, Pharmacy, and Nursing recruitment. Jack brings a strong work ethic in locating dynamic healthcare professionals with leading healthcare organizations. He focuses on finding a “marriage” between client and candidate, ensuring that the proper “fit” is consistently being reached throughout the hiring process.
Jack is very passionate and dedicated to both his clients and healthcare professionals, serving as a valued partner and liaison. He believes in developing a strong connection with both parties, working very closely as an educator, coach and hands-on resource which allows for enhanced communication and a more streamlined process.
Prior to joining RTSS, Jack was the National Director for Logix Healthcare Search Partners, a search/permanent placement division of Maxim Healthcare and Maxim Staffing Solutions, Inc. This firm focused on Healthcare Leadership, Specialty and IT Pharmacy, and Nursing search and placement within hospitals, health systems, schools of pharmacy, schools of nursing, PBMs, compounding pharmacies and managed care organizations. Some of these partnerships included: UCLA, Kaiser Permanente, Centene Corporation, Husson University, MedStar Health, Vanderbilt, the University of Maryland Medical System, Mayo Clinic, BCBSNC, Carefirst and the University of Virginia Health System. Jack led a large team of Senior Recruiters, recruiters, and Sourcing Coordinators. Jack also served in a production role, falling in the top 1% of sales, companywide, on an annual basis.
At Roundtable, Jack currently oversees the direct hire/permanent search and placement division, focusing on Healthcare IT; Application Analysts, Developers, Architects and IT Leadership (CIO, Directors, and Managers). Jack graduated from Western Maryland College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management. He resides in Baltimore, MD with his wife and 3 young children.
Casey Hafford is a driven, young professional approaching five years in the healthcare IT industry with a focus in delivery and recruitment. After receiving her undergraduate degree in Communications and Business Administration, she joined RoundTable Strategic Solutions as a Healthcare Applications Sourcing Coordinator. From exposure to delivery meetings and training around best-practice recruitment strategies, Casey was able to move into a Lead Recruitment role before transitioning to the Manager of Delivery and Recruitment. Casey has assisted in developing project teams in the support of Electronic Medical Record, Clinical, Financial, ERP/CRM and Third Party Application implementation and optimization efforts for University of Maryland Medical System, MedStar Health, Virginia Commonwealth University Health System, Beebe Medical Center and many more.
Casey is able to bring value to client support by maintaining extensive knowledge of the Healthcare IT landscape, vendor trends, government regulations (MACRA), and challenges facing healthcare systems that impact patient access, contact centers, revenue cycle and clinical outcomes. Along with her recruitment efforts, Casey has a passion for connecting with healthcare executives who are experiencing system-based issues and collaborating to identify a well-measured path to resolution.
Eager to continue her professional growth, Casey continues to lead and support RoundTable’s recruitment and delivery efforts while also beginning her pursuit of her Masters’ in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems and Business Analytics.
Nicole Halsey shares more than 18 years of marketing, public relations and branding experience with the RoundTable team. Providing strategic guidance to clients in the healthcare, retail/consumer, education, real estate, entertainment and nonprofit industries, Nicole provides an array of expertise.
Having worked in an agency setting for her professional career, Nicole has mastered the ability to manage and exceed client needs and determine priorities as they relate to the company’s overall goals. In her role at RoundTable Strategic Solutions, Nicole will oversee brand development and maintenance, marketing automation campaigns, media relations, conference marketing, social media, speaking opportunities, special event planning, among other tactics.
Prior to joining RoundTable, Nicole worked at Weinberg Harris & Associates, a PR and Marketing agency in Baltimore, as a Senior Account Director. During her 15-year tenure, she was responsible for creating and implementing strategic campaigns for clients such as The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Cirque du Soleil, Bozzuto, Verdence, and General Growth Properties.
For her first three years in the industry, Nicole worked at Warschawski and Eisner Petrou & Associates, creating and implementing award-winning campaigns for clients such as Under Armour, Sylvan Learning Centers, Wartsila North America and 180s.
She graduated from York College of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations with minors in English, Marketing, and Communication, and earned the Communications Award of Excellence. Nicole plays an active role in her children’s schools, neighborhood community and Loyola Blakefeld Aquatics by assisting with media relations efforts and event planning on Social Committees. She resides with her husband and three children in Towson.
Lydia Walker joins the team as Senior Director of Management Consulting. With more than twenty years of diverse healthcare experience, Lydia oversees the development, execution and implementation of project deliverables and strategic client plans. She provides revenue cycle and practice management operations, thought leadership and promotes the IT and Management Consulting Services, specifically the Revenue Cycle Integrity Service offerings. Lydia’s expertise and leadership expands the spectrum of strategy and operational redesign, care coordination, coding/billing, practice management, and EMR workflows to name a few.
Prior to joining RoundTable, Lydia held numerous leadership positions across acute and ambulatory operations, strategy, and information services during her 21-year tenure at Atrium Health (formerly known as Carolinas Healthcare System). She is a Certified Professional Coder and has her MBA from Pfeiffer University in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Lydia resides in Fort Mill, South Carolina with her family.
With more than 10 years of industry knowledge and experience, Mike provides expertise in primary care strategic growth and marketing analytics. His principal professional focus areas include consumer-centric analytics, Access and convenience, unique primary care growth analytics, program evaluation and management, Marketing ROI attribution and CRM analytics.
Mike is responsible for assisting the Senior Vice President, Management Consulting with day-to-day management, delivery and growth of the firm, client base, and CORE service lines from the company’s Charlotte, North Caroline office. He oversees engagement planning, designing statements of work, executing and completing project deliverables and strategic client plans, while providing marketing thought leadership and promoting the IT and Management Consulting Services, specifically the Contact Center Transformation Service Offering.
Mike previously served in leadership roles at Carolinas Healthcare Systems as the Director of Strategic Services, and Manager for Dickson Advanced Analytics in Charlotte, NC. During his tenure in those positions, he was responsible for tracking propensity models to improve effectiveness of targeting potential patients and marketing tactics; oversaw and developed strategies for data management, data quality and standardization of analytic techniques and procedures; formalized a work flow process and implementation to help achieve efficiencies in developing code and producing analytic work products; and developed multiple executive summaries provided to the CEO and COO to identify and project new revenue generated from healthcare exchange products.
Prior to his employment at Carolinas Healthcare Systems, Mike was an Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton in Washington, DC, serving as the lead analyst for the strategic business reorganizations of military population health programs to improve business operation (i.e., resourcing, budget, clinical practices, education and training, research) efficiencies.
With a recent recognition as Leader Under 40 by Community Building Initiative, Mike is an inspiration to the industry. He received his Masters of Science in Biostatistics from the University of Vermont and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from State University of New York at Potsdam.
Theresa Muller joins RoundTable as we expand our Charlotte-based consulting services. In her role as Senior Consultant for our Management Consulting practice, Theresa is responsible for assisting our customers to develop strategic marketing plans, and HCxRM future state design & execution. Theresa is a top-performing, results-oriented strategic marketing manager with extensive experience in the healthcare industry. Through her strategic research, Theresa provides insights to improve brand awareness and customer retention by carefully assessing consumer behavior, marketing opportunities and best practices, and analyzing campaign performances while guaranteeing adherence to long-term business goals. Theresa shares her experiences from her recent roles within large Integrated Healthcare Systems as well as Market Research agencies.
Theresa resides with her husband and son in Fort Mill, South Carolina.
As the team’s Payroll and Billing Specialist, Pattie oversees all billing and collections, manages financial records, and handles vendor relationships. Pattie is also responsible for Human Resource activities including new employee file completion, payroll for employees and consultants, and travel arrangements in a timely and efficient manner.
Prior to joining RoundTable, Pattie ran her own business and was a Production Manager for Loktite/Dymalon.
She resides in Towson, Maryland with her husband, son, and daughter.
John Veach is a veteran Healthcare IT and Salesforce Certified professional with over 25 years of sales, recruitment, marketing, application support, and project management experience. His early experience in healthcare sales and marketing gives John a unique skillset and philosophy to provide superior leadership and customer service to our customers. John is a passionate leader of IT initiatives and in providing streamlined approaches towards improved business performance and profitability.
Prior to joining the RoundTable team, John was a leader and Business Relationship Manager in the Corporate Information Services Department at Maxim Healthcare Services, where he worked in many roles for 23 years. He played an integral part in the development and implementation of Maxim’s first internal compliance metrics system, and lead initiatives using technology for the improvement of processes and systems in clinical, financial, business development, marketing, human resources, and compliance.
As the VP of Healthcare IT Applications, and Business Development for CRM at RoundTable, John provides operational leadership for our business development and marketing initiatives, in addition to providing the training and framework for our growing healthcare IT applications, CRM/Salesforce and business development services. John has a passion for identifying a customer’s business process challenges and helping implement solutions that promote their success.
I absolutely agree that Shalin is adding value. His participation on some of the design calls for Acute has been very welcomed by the team and the one report that he has helped us with so far has been tremendously valuable in defining and aggregating one particular segment of our DNFB that was previously unable to be truly quantified. He’s developed a very good rapport with Deloitte and our Cerner Solution Consultants, and I feel like our Information Systems team would echo many of my positive comments.
