Community IDN Relies on RoundTable’s Epic Instructional Design Consulting

When a community IDN client faced an Epic Instructional Design / Principal Trainer vacancies due to internal re-organization, client leaders immediately engaged with RoundTable’s Epic Consulting team to identify interim Epic OpTime / Anesthesia and Radiant / Cupid Instructional Design / Principal Trainer Consultant to ensure critical knowledge transfer and educational continuity while an additional FTE resource is identified and on-boarded.  The Epic OpTime / Anesthesia and Radiant / Cupid Instructional Design / Principal Trainer Consultants will ensure that understanding and utilization of unique, specialty modules will go on uninterrupted, while simultaneously identifying opportunities to fine-tune instructional design material and the Master Training Environment to mirror clinical workflows and updates.

RoundTable Extends Partnership with New England-Based Health System for Interim Director of Coding Operations

RoundTable has extended its partnership with a​ New England comprehensive integrated health system, where our selected consultant serves as the Interim Director of Coding Operations. In this capacity, she will continue to collaborate with the Senior Vice President of Revenue Cycle to identify internal talent who can be coached and mentored to fulfill permanent leadership roles in the development of a high performing Coding team and structure. Additionally, she provides oversight and strategic vision on operational and financial decisions and performance pertaining to Coding for the health system’s Physician and Ambulatory Services Organization. Furthermore, our expert works closely with providers to improve coding efforts and accuracy through coding audits.

RoundTable Expands Support for Established Epic IDN to Include Direct Hire and Consulting

Having successfully facilitated multiple Epic Patient Access Analyst FTE placements for a North East established Epic IDN through its Direct Hire division, RoundTable was selected to provide supplemental support for the team through Epic Patient Access Consulting.  Competing Epic optimization and enhancement projects had overextended a successful Epic Patient Access team within a complex environment.  RoundTable’s Epic Patient Access Analyst Consultant will leverage expertise within patient access workflows, best practices, and Epic-specific functionality to alleviate bandwidth strain and allow for on-time completion across numerous projects.

Consultant Shout Out – Cupid, Radiant & Research ID, Jillian Scribner

RoundTable is excited to give a consultant shout out to Jillian Scribner, Cupid, Radiant and Research ID Analyst. Jillian joined our team in the Spring and draws from 10 years of Clinical experience as an RN working in Cardiovascular Services, Cath Lab, EP Lab and IR Holding area, and PCU. Jillian experienced Epic Go-Lives early in her career, and in 2016 Jillian made the transition to Epic RN Clinical Analyst during her an Epic platform implementation. Her strong clinical background and wonderful personality makes her a natural for both instructional design and teaching. Her experience as an end user helps promote positive adherence and understanding when training. Jillian is currently engaged as a Cupid, Radiant ID,  with a client for post go-live instructional design, training and maintenance.

RoundTable Welcomes Mimi Howie as Senior Director

We are pleased to announce the addition of Mimi Howie, who will be serving as Senior Director, to the RoundTable Strategic Solutions family! In this capacity, Mimi will assist leadership in the management, delivery, and growth of our firm and its service lines through the expansion of our Revenue Cycle, Revenue Integrity Services, and IT Consulting Practices. Additionally, she will be responsible for identifying new service lines aligning to the core services currently offered, participating in prospect meetings for potential clients and collaborating with Art Lopez, Vice President of Sales and Marketing on promotion related initiatives, as well as identifying strategic partnerships which will aid in the development of our Revenue Cycle Service Offering.

With over twenty years of revenue cycle operations experience in both hospital and ambulatory settings, in addition to IT system expertise, Mimi brings a robust knowledge of Revenue Integrity, CDM maintenance and consolidation, medical billing and coding, denials, appeals, and pricing to RoundTable. Moreover, Mimi possesses extensive leadership experience; she has led and developed Revenue Integrity Teams and Programs for large health systems like Ochsner Health System, Trinity Health Network- New England and The Cleveland Clinic—implementing centralized charge capture processes in order to generate a significant gross charge impact, developing CDM functions for the implementation of provider-based billing, providing educational guidance to decrease denial rates and increase collection ratios, and delivering analysis for reimbursement of new service lines.

Consultant Shout Out – Revenue Cycle Operations Leader, Rhisa Gibbs

RoundTable is proud to give a consultant shout out to Rhisa H. Gibbs, Executive Consultant & Engagement Leader as she approaches her one-year anniversary with RoundTable.  Drawing from 25+ years of Revenue Cycle management, strategic planning and development experience, Rhisa shares her broad knowledge of healthcare Revenue Cycle Management operations, CBO/SBO transformations and regulatory compliance.

Currently, Rhisa is the Executive Consultant & Engagement Leader for the Ambulatory CBO Re-Design, Management & Implementation for a client transitioning from an outsourced RCM platform to managing Revenue Cycle in the CBO using the Epic platform. Rhisa’s hands-on leadership skills and strong revenue cycle management operations background has helped the team accomplish successful results including a fully implemented CBO transformation, decreased AR, improved denials management process, extensive reporting for CFO and leadership team in conjunction with an Epic Go-Live.

In addition to Rhisa’s Executive Leadership experience, she has qualified with her Outrigger Paddling crew to represent California Master Women’s 50 in the IVF World Distance Championship in Mooloolaba, Queensland in August 2019. Best of luck to you and your crew!

Summer Internship Program 2019 – Kimberly Kupres Joins the RoundTable Team

Summer has arrived and our team is proud to introduce our new intern to the RoundTable team.  Kimberly Kupres, our summer intern, is a senior at High Point University in North Carolina where she majors in Exercise Science with a Health and Wellness concentration and minors in Marketing.  When she is not studying, she is an avid horseback rider, and has competed in horse shows and joined a polo team associated with Maryland Polo Club.  Upon graduation, Kimberly plans to achieve a sports marketing position with a stimulating team that will advance her knowledge and hope to grow with the company.

After having the time to talk with Nicole Halsey, the Director of Marketing and Communications, Kimberly told us that “she decided to join our team because she was looking for a team that will utilize her skills that she has learned, and advance her knowledge of marketing and social media to help her succeed in her future plans.”  Kimberly continued, “I was attracted to RoundTable because of the collaborative and engaging environment that will inspire me to grow and understand the elements of the healthcare industry through media and marketing aspects.  I am eager to start my time here at RoundTable and contribute my knowledge to the team!”

Consultant Shout Out – Healthcare IT Leader, Angela Greene

At RoundTable, we recognize that our success is 100% attributable to the professionals we have in the field. With her one-year work anniversary with RoundTable approaching, we shout out Healthcare IT leader extraordinaire, Angela Greene. Angela is a dynamic producer in clinical technology implementations with demonstrated Project Management expertise in medical device integration, alarm management and workflow development.

In May of 2018, RoundTable was engaged by a large Mid-Atlantic IDN to provide Interim Leadership for a Cerner Clinical Applications Manager on FMLA over a period of six months. With a clinical background of 27 years as a Registered Nurse and over 10 years in healthcare IT leadership, Angela was able to dive into a role that required oversight of multiple enterprise-wide implementation and optimization initiatives.
