Mid-Atlantic IDN Extends Partnership for Ongoing Cerner Support

A Mid-Atlantic Integrated Delivery Network has partnered with RoundTable for the fifth consecutive year to assist in managing system-wide Cerner implementation and optimization efforts. At this health system, RoundTable’s Cerner SMEs have supported PowerChart Maternity implementation, Dragon Dictation deployment, SurgiNet & SurgiNet Anesthesia conversion, HealtheRegistries tool development and many other high-profile projects.

In the coming fiscal year, RoundTable Cerner Analysts will continue to support the organization’s Cerner expansion as well as a complex Data Migration effort for a newly acquired hospital. Many of RoundTable’s consultants are also supporting this IDN’s 2018 Cerner Code Upgrade, working through extensive re-build as the team target’s an October 2019 GoLive.  RoundTable’s Cerner delivery team will focus on optimization of Cerner clinical tools including Nursing Documentation (IView, PowerForms, Order-Entry), Physician Documentation (Dynamic Documentation, MPages, PowerNotes), CORE and Event Set Hierarchy. Aside from clinical solution development, RoundTable’s technical experts will support specialty Mpage development, CCL report writing, dashboard development for providers, PowerInsight training and more.

Community IDN Relies on RoundTable’s Epic Instructional Design Consulting

When a community IDN client faced an Epic Instructional Design / Principal Trainer vacancies due to internal re-organization, client leaders immediately engaged with RoundTable’s Epic Consulting team to identify interim Epic OpTime / Anesthesia and Radiant / Cupid Instructional Design / Principal Trainer Consultant to ensure critical knowledge transfer and educational continuity while an additional FTE resource is identified and on-boarded.  The Epic OpTime / Anesthesia and Radiant / Cupid Instructional Design / Principal Trainer Consultants will ensure that understanding and utilization of unique, specialty modules will go on uninterrupted, while simultaneously identifying opportunities to fine-tune instructional design material and the Master Training Environment to mirror clinical workflows and updates.

Angela is a dynamic producer in clinical technology implementations with demonstrated Project Management expertise in medical device integration, alarm management and workflow development.

In May of 2018, RoundTable was engaged by a large Mid-Atlantic IDN to provide Interim Leadership for a Cerner Clinical Applications Manager on FMLA over a period of six months. With a clinical background of 27 years as a Registered Nurse and over 10 years in healthcare IT leadership, Angela was able to dive into a role that required oversight of multiple enterprise-wide implementation and optimization initiatives.

Mid-Atlantic IDN Re-Engages RoundTable for Additional Project: Cerner Implementation and Optimization Efforts

A Mid-Atlantic Integrated Delivery Network has partnered with RoundTable for the fourth consecutive year to assist in managing the system-wide Cerner implementation and optimization efforts. Over the past several years, RoundTable’s Cerner SMEs have supported PowerChart Ambulatory implementation, multi-hospital data migration, Dragon Dictation deployment, specialty MPage development among other projects.

In 2019, eight RoundTable Cerner Analysts will continue to support the organization’s Cerner expansion in several specialized clinical solutions, including: PowerChart Maternity, PowerChart Oncology and SurgiNet Anesthesia.  RoundTable’s Cerner delivery team will also assist with the upcoming Cerner Code Upgrade as well as Optimization for SurgiNet, MPages, Dynamic Documentation, CCL Reports, CORE/ESH and Nursing.

RoundTable’s Resource Management Division Places MEDITECH Clinical Application Specialist at Mid-Atlantic Community Health System

A Mid-Atlantic Community Health System partnered with RoundTable to fulfill a MEDITECH Clinical Applications IT role to support its Acute Care departments.

The new MEDITECH Clinical Applications Specialist will leverage her extensive clinical background as an RN and work closely with the Director of IS and Team Lead in support of the health systems Acute care applications. In her role, she will be responsible for the successful implementation, ongoing maintenance, support and enhancement of the organization’s use of MEDITECH while driving end-user adoption and assisting with improving clinical quality outcomes.

Lorna Dunbar, a Certified Epic HIM Project Manager/Builder,  describes herself as “not your average consultant,” and we couldn’t agree more!  Lorna is the quintessential HIT consultant, marrying an in-depth knowledge of operations and Epic and 3rd-party application functionality related to all things Health Information Management (HIM), a professional “grace under pressure” delivery, fine-tuned analytic approach to solve complex problems, and a fantastic sense of humor.  Her HIM expertise extends through Clinical Applications and Revenue Cycle, and Lorna effectively understands and communicates the downstream impacts of proposed solutions to identify the one best-suited to address the challenge.

In her almost 4 years of engagement with RoundTable, Lorna has served multiple roles, including Epic HIM Project Manager, Lead Build/Integration Consultant, and Interim IT Operations Leader.  Throughout her tenure in these roles, Lorna has successfully executed countless jobs on behalf of the client, repeatedly demonstrating patience, flexibility, collaboration, and a “no job too big or too small” mentality.  She mentors client IT and operations staff to equip them with the tools to be successful in their roles, and lends her SME perspective to our RoundTable internal team.

Leading Integrated Delivery System in MidWest Engages RoundTable to Serve as Interim System Vice President, Revenue Cycle

One of the nation’s leading Integrated Delivery Systems has engaged RoundTable Strategic Solutions to serve as the Interim System Vice President of Revenue Cycle and will provide leadership for all activities related to the management of the physician/professional revenue cycle.

Our Executive Revenue Cycle Consultant will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight of operational and financial decisions and performance of the Revenue Cycle for the Physician and Ambulatory Services Organization across all six regions of the health system.
