Leading Pacific Northwest Healthcare System Partners with RoundTable to Serve as Interim Director of Revenue Cycle Operations

A leading healthcare system, serving both urban and rural communities throughout the Pacific Northwest, has engaged RoundTable Strategic Solutions to serve as the Interim Director of Revenue Cycle Operations.  As the Interim Director, our senior Revenue Cycle consultant is working in collaboration with the System VP of Revenue Cycle to oversee the Revenue Integrity and CDM department and team. Together, with the staff and other operational leadership, she will mitigate risk to revenue and financial performance.

She is responsible for assisting with building and enhancing the Revenue Integrity team by providing on-going maintenance and analysis of the existing CDM; optimizing workflows, developing policies and procedures, and staffing requirements; evaluating CDM mappings; and strengthening stability in a denials management program.

“As a true leader in the industry, our consultant was the perfect choice to serve in this interim position.  She consistently proves to be a mentor to internal and external constituents with whom she works,” says Art Lopez, Regional Vice President.  “The ability for a health system to work with a consultant in an interim position is an invaluable resourcing approach as they can share best practices, develop strategy and programs that improve overall financial and operational performance, and more importantly,  provide mentorship to internal resources that have the skill set to move into leadership roles within the organization over time.”

Consultant Shout Out – Peggy Perkins-Fricks, Cerner Revenue Cycle Training Coordinator

RoundTable celebrates Peggy Perkins-Fricks, Cerner Revenue Cycle Training Coordinator, as our newest Consultant Shout-Out!

Peggy draws from 20 years of Training/Adult Learning experience, combining it with her broad knowledge of healthcare Revenue Cycle Management operations, Cerner Patient Accounting-specific functionality and her hands-on leadership skills.  Most recently, Peggy has designed and executed the Training Plan for our client’s impending Cerner Patient Accounting implementation – uniting clinical and financial data within a single Cerner platform.  Executing and effectively training for any Revenue Cycle Management application transition is a daunting project. In most circumstances, adopting Cerner’s Clinically-Driven Revenue Cycle methodology significantly increases the complexity of the required cultural/operational shift to yield a successful implementation.  Peggy was able to tackle this multi-faceted challenge directly with poise, determination, and a warm smile.

In just shy of two years working with RoundTable, Peggy has been presented with four requests for extension.  Her current client describes her as a “strong asset to our team,” which affirms not only the successful execution of her professional duties, but also her collaborative, team-centric approach to those duties.

Peggy, in addition to your positive impact on the clients with whom you’re engaged, you are an all-around asset to the RoundTable team, and we are grateful to work with you!
